Non-surgical spinal decompression can be very effective at treating sciatica, bulging or herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, radiating arm pain, leg pain, radiculopathy (injured spinal nerve roots) and facet syndromes (worn spinal joints). Spinal decompression can also be effective in relieving low back pain and neck pain. Our chiropractors use non-surgical spinal decompression to prevent and treat disc injuries by gently separating the vertebrae and taking pressure off the spinal discs. Over multiple visits, spinal decompression can cause bulging discs or herniated discs to retract, and allows water, oxygen, and synovial fluids to diffuse into the discs, enabling fibers to begin the healing process. The spinal decompression process is usually painless. You will be fitted with comfortable padded harnesses around your pelvis and around your lower chest while the doctor uses computer-controlled traction to make the necessary chiropractic adjustments. The treatment can take up to 45 minutes, and usually occurs as part of a treatment plan lasting several weeks.
Our chiropractors are highly trained in providing chiropractic adjustments to correct alignment. Chiropractic adjustments are performed to ensure your body’s structure and function are working properly, which maximizes your body’s natural ability to heal itself and relieve uncomfortable symptoms. During this treatment, you will lie on a special adjustment table. Your chiropractor will use precise controlled movements to work on individual joints, improving mobility and relieving painful symptoms. You may experience minor discomfort, but will then feel a relieving sensation as your spine is re-aligned.
Our chiropractors are trained to provide Chiropractic BioPhysics®, a comprehensive and systematic approach to chiropractic care. The Chiropractic BioPhysics® system includes an initial consultation, postural or X-Ray exams, and treatment through standard chiropractic adjustments as well as “mirror image” postural adjustments, exercises, and traction to provide more permanent relief through postural correction.
Chiropractic care focuses on treating not the symptom, but the cause of the pain. Our chiropractors can provide long-term treatment of conditions which cause the following symptoms:
